[After all of the ghost business has died down, there will be a knock on Lapis's door. Accompanied by the sound of feet running away and music in the hallway.

Upon opening the door, directly outside it is a dancing blue thing that is playing music. There's also someone hiding around the corner further down the hall, waiting for some sort of reaction.]

[Lapis just happens to be in her residence at the time, so she'll open the door to...

That is most certainly a thing, she watches it dance with a confused look on her face before it clicks. It's the dance she saw Gumshoe do awhile ago.]

Dick? Where are you? [Since she looked around the area the badger is and doesn't see him at all.]

[As he hears his name, he steps up out of his hiding spot and towards her door, smiling and waving.]

Here I am, Lapis! ...Hey there, pal! [He tries to greet her as if... well, as if that whole app business never happened. It couldn't have been her fault, after all. At least he's genuinely happy to see her again.] I see you've met the Dancing Blue Badger!

Hello. [Oh, there he is. She'll smile as well and wave back, or as best as she can with the badger between them.

And as long as Gumshoe doesn't bring up the app thing then neither will Lapis.]

Oh, so that's what a badger is. [As she says that she'll gently poke at the dancing creature.]

It's supposed to be more like the idea of a badger than the actual badger, y'know? [In other words, that is not what a badger looks like. He scratches sheepishly at his head.]

[ With all the Chroma he was racking up, Mercury never really needed to worry about cooking at home (thank the gods for that, because he can't make anything that doesn't go in a microwave). He doesn't... quite know what half of the restaurants serve in the first place, mind you, because what is fine dining to a boy who grew up isolated in the mountains, but he's fudging his way through. Never gonna order quinoa again, though.

Carrying a bag with today's leftovers (burger and fries, a classic that he can understand) he was in the middle of cutting through some back alleys to get home when he caught some motion down a side path. Is it his business? Not really. But there's time to kill, and he doesn't have anything planned right away, so he wanders over towards the source of the noise to find...

A familiar blue woman digging through the trash.

... Okay, Laps, I have to know why you're playing Treasure Finder in the trash.

[Yes, he did shorten Lapis to Laps. Every syllable counts.]

[That familiar blue woman is going to be tossing what looks like a busted chair leg to the side, just to keep it separate from the rest of the trash. She can use that for something after all.

But then she heard someone address her, so she turns her attention towards Mercury and squints before recognition comes to her.]

Art supplies. It's cheaper than buying things.

[Which is true, also it's all junk so why not turn it into art? Better then it being wasted by going to some trash heap somewhere to rot.]

It's also a great way to pick up diseases and smell like shit all day.

Do blue people get sick? I guess I don't actually know that, but you're definitely going to reek.

I can get sick, but it can't kill me.

[They can get food poisoning, so who knows what else Gems can get.]

And I have access to a shower, bathing isn't something foreign to me, you know.

[As she talks though, she's standing up and brushing her hands off on her pants. Since that'll make having a conversation easier for all parties.]

I don't know what is and isn't foreign to you, actually. Seems like every time I assume something's common knowledge, I end up having to explain it to someone.

So yeah, part of it is that he's trying to sign up for more sex, but no one knows how to relate more to the sensation of having an insatiable libido like he does. He'd rather get woken up in the middle of the night than let her suffer with an ache.]

[Sometime around Christmas/Firialia, a present addressed from Gumshoe will arrive. It contains a seashell necklace that looks like it was put together by hand. One of the seashells is even shaped like a heart! Although it looks like it had to be broken into that shape. Oh well!]

[She's still kind of recuperating, since she got all mind controlled and such. It's not something she was happy with and she'd been dealing with it by ignoring everyone.
