[Lapis totally is going to scrutinize the gift, especially the note which takes her a bit to be able to read. She is aware of the whole "person running the apartments" deal now, so she's not too surprised by the note. But she is pleasantly surprised by the gift itself.

While she doesn't have a gift to send in return, Hawkeye will totally find a note tucked under his door a few days later that simply says "Thank you, Lapis Lazuli" which also has a little doodle of him, it's not very accurate but then again she's probably only seen him in passing after all.]
